The three watches in the Suunto Black Collection feature black Ion Plating (IP) - a damage resistant coating process on all metal components. The IP process hardens the metal casing of the watch face, preventing scratches and dents that could typically rob your Suunto altimeter, barometer, and compass watch of its original luster.

The three watches available in the Suunto Black Collection are the Observer Black, the Observer ST Black, and the X6M Black. Each features a negative display (white on black) with large luminescent numbers and a bright backlight for easy observation in the dark. Suunto Observer Black

The Suunto Observer Black is an IP coated (brushed finish) Suunto watch with altimeter, barometer, and compass functions. It also has a chronograph function and all the usual watch, calendar, and alarm functions.

Suunto Observer Black ST

For a Suunto Observer with a more durable strap than the standard Observer Black, purchase the Suunto Observer ST. This variation of the Suunto Black Collection - also with a brushed finish - is fitted with a more rugged elastomer strap with brushed black metal components

Suunto X6M Black

The Suunto X6M is a specially designed cross sport watch equipped with an altimeter, barometer, and compass. The Suunto X6M Black has a deep, black, polished IP coating on the case of the face, and an elastomer and metal strap similar to the Observer ST, but with polished black metal components instead of brushed.

In addition to the features offered with the Suunto Observer ST, the Suunto X6M is equipped with temperature reading capabilities, and a special PC adapter that allows you to upload data from you X6M to SuuntoSports.com and take part in the worldwide Suunto Sports community.
